Waiuku is a high growth location, just 15 minutes from Pukekohe, 25 minutes from Drury and under an hour from Auckland’s CBD.
The location offers excellent value and prices continuing to rise in surrounding industrial precincts.
Colliers’ research shows that Wiri, once considered a fringe location, has grown in the last 20 years from an average of $100 per sqm to around $650 per sqm. Data suggest that Waiuku will follow the same growth trajectory as demand for industrial land continues to outweigh supply.
The rise of Drury South, Takanini, and Pukekohe is further evidence of Auckland’s southern growth. Average industrial land values are estimated to be between $400 and $450 per sqm in Takanini and Pukekohe. Sales in this range and higher have also occurred in Drury South, sale prices have risen from $300 to over $500 per sqm in a short space of time.
The supply of 1,000 sqm lots is another unique opportunity for the area with research showing that only six industrial land lots of this size were sold between 2017 to early 2020 in the entire Franklin District.
Infrastructure improvements both planned and underway such as upgrades to State Highway 1 and the Drury to Paerata project will continue to improve accessibility of Waiuku.
